Donald Trump`s golden statue at CPAC reflects his hold on Republican Party

The Michigan-based Trump Unity Bridge, a traveling pro-Trump trailer bed, was towed outside the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Fla., Saturday.

He credited former President Donald Trump with Republicans' unexpected pickup of 15 seats in the 2020 election, putting them just five seats away from taking the gavel away from Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

"I spoke to President [Donald] Trump last night for a fairly lengthy conversation where [we] were talking about America, where it needs to go, continuing the America first agenda". On his first day in office, he signed an executive order mandating an "ambitious whole-of-government equity agenda" created to address concerns about systemic racism and a lack of diversity in federal policy-making and hiring.

He was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Mr Trump for a second time earlier this month.

Mr Trump is expected to talk about the future of the party and lay out policy differences within a group riven by differences in the wake of his chaotic four years in office. He has reportedly reiterated claims of widespread voter fraud that helped Democrats "steal" the election.

Mr Trump's tumultuous final weeks in office saw his supporters launch a deadly attack in Washington on January 6 in an attempt to block the certification of Democratic President Joe Biden's election victory.

"If someone offered me $100,000 I'd take it", he said.

Despite the rift, McConnell indicated Thursday that he would not let the dispute interfere with Republican efforts to win the White House in 2024, including if Trump were to run again. "We definitely won't win back to the White House in 2024 if we erase Donald Trump". The former president allegedly intends to slam the current administration on immigration, energy, the closing/reopening of schools, and identity politics.

According to Adam Kincaid, the executive director of the National Republican Redistricting Trust, "People on both sides are going to have to look at these things and try to figure out: Are there any things that we can point to that are predictive, and where do we see the party heading?"

Scott is dismissing pressure on him to "mediate between warring factions on the right" or "mediate the war of words between the party leaders". But most Senate Republicans, including McConnell, voted not to convict him. "I thought, 'This is stupid, '" Zegan said.

But in speeches throughout the day, the GOP turmoil was front and center.

Zegan said the statue contains several symbolic elements that convey the spirit of Trump: the suit is for Trump's status as a businessman, the red tie represents the Republican party, the sandals are because Zegan thinks this is the time for Trump to be vacationing "in the lap of luxury" and the magic wand?

Trump Jr., who labeled the conference "TPAC" in honor of his father, hyped the return of his father and the "Make America Great Again" platform to the spotlight. "And I assure you that it will solidify Donald Trump and all of your feelings about the MAGA movement as the future of the Republican Party".
