Buckingham Palace released an image of the couple with their baby boy, who was born at the exclusive Portland Hospital in central London at 8.55am on February 9.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank welcomed their first child into the world earlier this month.

Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter named her son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

The baby, who weighed 3.657kg, is her first child and is 11th in line to the British throne.

Sharing a carousel of pictures on Instagram, the princess and her husband are seen holding baby August, who is wrapped in a blue blanket with matching blue beanie. "Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can't express", she wrote, adding that the photo was taken "by our wonderful midwife".

Until Baby Sussex arrives, the first 10 places remain unchanged - the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, the Duke of Sussex, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, the Duke of York, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Even though his mother is a princess, he will not be an HRH nor hold a title, unless the Queen decides otherwise.

Eugenie married 35-year-old Brooksbank, a businessman, in October 2018 at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

When Eugenie was born in 1990, the Duke and Duchess of York's unusual choice of name for their second daughter took everyone by surprise.
