Starting this week, the state's public health department began tracking COVID-19 testing by looking broadly at virus spread during the 14-day incubation period and started calculating Iowa's positivity rate by dividing the number of positive tests over a two-week period with the total number of tests, both negative and positive, in that same time period.

The deaths of 255 Clevelanders have been attributed to the coronavirus.

There were eight new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths in Warren County in Friday's report from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Selangor recorded the most with 1,001 cases, followed by Kelantan with 257 cases, Johor with 233 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 230 cases.

This is the same method used by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to calculate percent positivity. These outbreaks involve a total of 734 cases (447 residents and 287 staff).

Those infected have ranged in age from less than 1 year old to more than 100 years old.

Six percent of those cases required hospitalization. Other races account for 12% of the patients.

BC coronavirus update: 508 cases, 6 deaths in final update of the week

Four of the deaths announced Friday were in the Interior Health region and two were in Fraser Health.

The Ministry of Health has identified 10 new clusters today and all of them are workplace related.

There have been three recoveries so the number of active cases remains at 11.

27 of these deaths occurred in February, 1 in January. The numbers exclude cases from the city of Cleveland. There were 252 cases reported since February 12, an average of 36 a day.

It brings the official death toll as recorded by the department to 2,026, although that figure is expected to increase significantly when deaths in all community settings have been accounted for. Its tally showed 495,334 deaths in the United States, an increase of 2,688 from the previous day.
