Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Confirmed for Nintendo Switch

THQ Nordic is bringing its Kingdoms of Amalur remaster to Switch on March 16, 2021, and yes, that includes a $40 physical edition. This release will mark the handheld debut of the RPG franchise long coveted for gameplay that combines might, finesse, and sorcery.

There will undoubtedly be technical and performance trade-offs - there usually are - but there's also a certain coziness to the idea of revisiting an action-RPG from the Xbox 360/PS3 era on a Switch. However, in the coming months, THQ wants to create a new extension of the Nordic game, thanks to which it will further develop the theatrical offer and deliver some news to fans after a multi-year hiatus.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning first launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in September 2020. Featuring work by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston, and Spawn creator Todd MacFarlane, the game's a distinctive fantasy adventure, soon to be fully playable on any curent generation console you prefer.

Extend your experience in Amalur with all DLC from the original release, from Teeth of Naros to Legend of Dead Kel and more! This dream team help put together an RPG with over hundreds of hours of story and gameplay, deep levels of lore and countless side quests. Return to the Faelands and forge your fate into the shape of your choosing.

The reckoning is coming to Switch in March with Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
