The World Cup victor has experienced mixed fortunes during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Gonzalo Higuain and Abraham have provided fierce competition for places since then, while Germany global Timo Werner was snapped up over the summer.

His representative, Michael Manuello, admits as much, with the France worldwide frontman finding himself back in an all too familiar situation after committing to a one-year contract extension.

"Since the beginning of September things have changed but what has not changed is their ability to play games with France".

"There have been €150m worth of players bought".

However, Blues boss Frank Lampard has only handed Giroud limited game time so far this season, with the player only registering three appearances from the bench in the league.

Asked about his client's current situation at Chelsea, Manuello told French outlet Foot Mercato: "We must not be blind and Frank Lampard has chose to put Tammy Abraham before him".

"Frankly, it's not fair that this should be the case after the end of the season he had, but Lampard has the right to do what he sees, it's his choice", added Manuello, who threatened the board directly. Either his situation changes, or he will leave at the next market.

"So, if indeed it continues in this direction then yes, in December, we will meet again as happened in December 2019".

France coach Didier Deschamps has told the 34-year-old "the situation he's in today can not drag on forever" with Giroud having played just 33 minutes in the Premier League this season. But we have to be honest and, if this continues, we will have to, above all for him, experience other emotions.

Eighth in the all-time Premier League list of aerial battles won by strikers, Giroud is also adept at holding the ball up and bringing teammates into play, as well as linking up with wingers, attributes which Moyes likes to see in his forwards.
