PlayStation 5, Sony's next-generation console, will have a batch of entertainment apps when it ships next month - and a dedicated remote control.

Additionally, Sony says that it will have a new Media Remote available for the PS5 at launch, but it provided no pricing information. Sony confirmed the development in a blog post on Thursday.

Sony has revealed what entertainment apps will be arriving on the PlayStation 5! In its blog post, the company said that within the media space, users will no longer need to download entertainment apps via the PS store. Sony also has a non-exhaustive list of additional streaming apps on the way, including Amazon Prime Video, MyCanal, Hulu, Peacock (NBC's new streaming service) "and more". Apple TV will sit within the PS5's media space alongside other streaming apps. Notable by their absence were the likes of HBO Max and country specific streaming platforms like BBC iPlayer.

The video is a insane bit of collaboration between the two and it doesn't really make much sense, but when it comes to the collaboration between the two brands we can probably expect things like music, clothing, and other merchandise to be featured in the future.

As on PlayStation 4, Twitch and YouTube will also be integrated into the system's Create button functionality to broadcast your gaming online, while Spotify can play music for you while you game. The men worked on various aspects of the PlayStation 5 console, which can be seen in the video as well. And, the users will be able to experience it through Media Remote, which will be provided alongside the console. It will also have dedicated buttons for services like Disney+ and Netflix. Users can power on the PS5 console and quickly navigate media with built-in play/pause, fast forward and fast reverse controls.
