Tesla Model 3 2021 refresh offers more range and other improvements

It is reported that while the Tesla plant in California has already begun rolling out the 2021 refresh of Model 3, the first several batches are meant for global markets.

The company bumped up the range for all three versions of its electric sedan. The $46,990 Long Range Model 3 can now go 353 miles, an impressive gain of 30 miles over the 2020 version.

After the most recent updates of EPA range (all models), acceleration (Model 3) and pricing (Model S), the value proposition for Tesla's cars is once again boosted.

Tesla Model 3 is one of the most successful electric vehicles ever made and the fact that it is the most affordable offering from the company has seen it climb sales charts in nearly every market it is offered in.

Let's take a look at the three base criteria - price (in the U.S.), range (EPA) and acceleration (0-60 mph) of all now available versions.

On the Tesla website, you can configure the vehicle and see some of the changes to the steering wheel (it's now heated!), center console, and tires, as Electrek reported. It also has a metallic finish steering wheel (possibly heated), along with a powered trunk, double paneled windows and more.

According to Tesla's website, customers will need to wait between five and nine weeks to take delivery of a refreshed Model 3.

Tesla's newest auto, the Model Y electric SUV, also got a range boost.
