PlayStation 5 India prices announced, starts from ₹39,990 for the digital edition

The PlayStation 5 is set to hit the shelves on November 12 in the USA and the rest of the world on November 19.

PlayStation 5 is coming to the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 49,990, while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition carries a price tag of Rs. 39,990. Given the crossover with PS4 parties, the new firmware update on the PS4 console included a disclaimer about the feature that reached players before Sony had an opportunity to discuss PS5 voice chat reporting.

Unlike Sony, Microsoft also has a more-affordable next-gen option in the form Xbox Series S - that costs Rs 34,990 - though it is a relatively more toned-down console - while Sony's PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition are virtually the same consoles. For some context, the PS5 United States price is $499.99 (roughly Rs 37,000).

Suspiciously the UI video dropped nearly simultaneously to when the first Xbox Series X previews started to appear on the internet, confirming that Sony and Microsoft are battling it out behind the scenes with revealing details to players.

PlayStation 5 price in India has finally been revealed. The DualSense Wireless Controller will cost you ₹5,990, the HD camera comes for a ₹5,190, the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset is for ₹8,590, the media remote is for ₹2,590 and the DualSense Charging Station is for ₹2,590. The standalone DualSense wireless controller will sell for Rs 5,990.

Not only is PlayStation 5 pretty hard to pre-order right now, as everyone seems to want it, but just the video of the UI breakdown is still trending on YouTube.

"We know that gamers in India are excited to get their hands on PS5". Availability in each country is subject to, amongst other things, local import regulations, and our local teams are working through the logistics.

While the release date has been officially updated by Sony, some retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, and Walmart are still showing the original November 12th release date. PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition are initially coming to Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea Mexico, New Zealand, and the USA on November 15. The Xbox units will be available on November 10, and we assume that the PS5 will not take much longer than that to arrive. Sony is bringing the consoles to Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia and South Africa.
