Chadwick Boseman's Wife Files Probate Case as Actor Died Without Will

Chadwick Boseman made sure to protect his wife, despite the fact that he didn't have a will before his passing. A report stated that Ledward filed the paperwork on Thursday in Los Angeles.

Late American actor Chadwick Boseman's wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, has filed a probate case since the late actor died without having a will in place. The report further added that Boseman died on Friday, August 28 at the age of 43 from colon cancer.

Boseman and Ledward quietly married before his death.

According to the documents, the value of Boseman's estate is estimated at $938,500.

Boseman and Ledward had a very private relationship - they reportedly got engaged in October of previous year, and their marriage was only revealed after his death in a statement from his family. However, he does have siblings - Derrick and Kevin Boseman recently reminisced about the star in a New York Times story.

After filing her initial petition for probate, Ledward must now attend a hearing where a court will decide if anyone else has a right to Boseman's estate. They reportedly became engaged in October 2019.

In March 2019, he paid tribute to his significant other when he accepted an Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture prize at the NAACP Image Awards.

The star kept his years of treatments and operations a secret too, so his death - at his home, with his wife and family by his side - stunned even his famous friends.

Before going on stage the pair shared a kiss, and he then said: "Simone, you're with me every day. I love you", he said.
