Borderlands 3 Season Pass 2 Announced, Next-Gen Update Details Released

These are not separate expansions, so it will be necessary to have a copy of Borderlands 3 to access these contents.

Borderlands 3 Season Pass 2 will bring the two included DLC add-ons - a "Designer's Cut" and a "Director's Cut" - the studios announce in a press release, as well as some new looks for the FPS game's four Vault Hunters, which we'll get a better look at later in October. This update will ass an extra skill tree for each vault hunter and a new mode called Arms Race, although specific gameplay details have not been revealed yet.

Following the recent confirmation that Borderlands® 3's next-gen upgrade will launch day-and-date with both the Xbox Series X / Series S and the PlayStation 5, 2K and Gearbox today announced Season Pass 2 for Borderlands 3. The second add-on, Director's Cut, has yet to be detailed.

Details beyond that are scarce for the moment, but Gearbox is planning on a full reveal over the course of several stream events.

The Designer's Cut DLC will be out on 10th November. These will all be revealed over the rest of the month, with Amara and FL4K skill trees on 20th October, Moze and Zane's on 22nd October, the Arms Race mode on 29th October, and the first live play-through of the mode on 30th October. Borderlands' unique style of messed up humor, specifically, is starting to grind with fans.

The first DLC of season 2 will be The Designer's Cut, which is set to release on November 10 for all platforms.
