Apple Announces "Hi, Speed" Event for 13 October 2020

Official reports suggest that the iPhone 12 series will be virtually launched at 10:30 PM IST on the scheduled date. The event will be held at Apple Park, Apple's corporate headquarters in Cupertino, California, United States. New iPhones are usually launched earlier in the year, September usually, but we have no specific indications about why the yearly refresh has been delayed in 2020 (Covid?) Unfortunately, there is no hint about the launch of the first A14X powered Macs during the presentation next week but it is possible we will find out more. The tag line for this one is 'Hi, Speed.' A lot of people over the years have taken to finding the deeper meaning behind these images but they rarely ever lead to anything.

All of the upcoming handsets should offer a faster and more efficient A14 Bionic chipset, and of course, 5G connectivity support. We know that this will be the first iPhones to have a 5G connection, and that might be the "high-light" for the 12-gen iPhones. Under the circles is the Apple logo.

These models are said to vary in size, and there will certainly be more new features announced next week. But thankfully, we'll have confirmation on it all by this time next week, so brb saving my spare change for a new iPhone.

If you are wondering what Apple could bring on October 13 event, let me tell you that we can expect four iPhone 12 models, including one iPhone 12 Mini version. Being included in Apple's list of vintage and obsolete products means that it will be very hard, even impossible, to get the devices repaired if and when necessary.

While Apple has not revealed any more details about the lineup or the products, a myriad of leaks and speculations made it to the internet in the past few months.

Furthermore, the iPhone 12 variants will likely ship with 64GB onboard storage, while the Pro and Pro Max models should have 128GB standard.

Apart from the iPhones and Mac, we might also see advancements in terms of audio. We have heard about Apple launching its own full-sized wireless headphones. In my opinion, this product is much-needed.

The California-based tech giant has long sold high-end audio equipment, but these third-party items were removed last month, according to Bloomberg. Along with a new SoC and design, the iPhone 12 range seems to be ready to conquer to market, pleasing new and old customers alike.

The event is scheduled almost a month to the day after its last big event, which gave us the Apple Watch Series 6 and two new iPads.
