Chandler Jones To Miss Rest Of The Season

Arizona Cardinals star defensive lineman Chandler Jones, the Syracuse football team's biggest active star in the NFL, will miss the rest of the season and have surgery to fix a biceps injury he sustained this weekend.

Jones, 30, is set to undergo season-ending biceps surgery, which he was hoping to avoid following his injury during Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

Kingsbury pegged the recovery time for Jones' surgery at three to four months. Arizona's pass rush wasn't almost as effective after Jones' injury last week, and the team's highest-paid player is coming off a 2019 season in which he had 19 sacks and a league-high eight forced fumbles.

"He's a tremendous player, as we all know", Kingsbury said.

Kingsbury said his team will use "a rotation of guys" to replace Jones, who has recorded double-digit sack totals in each of the previous five seasons. But Jones was seen grimacing after one push and then sat on the bench holding his arm. The 30-year-old was named to the NFL's all-decade team for 2010-19.
