Raptors’ Terence Davis named to NBA All-Rookie Second Team

The 2019-20 NBA All-Rookie teams were announced by the league Tuesday, with Toronto Raptors guard Terence Davis making the Second Team.

The All-Rookie first team is Ja Morant, Kendrick Nunn, Zion Williamson, Brandon Clarke and Eric Paschall.

The 23-year-old Davis is joined on the second team by Miami's Tyler Herro, Chicago's Coby White, Charlotte's P.J. Washington and Washington's Rui Hachimura.

Morant, who finished with averages of 17.8 points per game and 7.3 assists per game in leading the Grizzlies to the brink of the playoffs after being the No. 2 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Murray State, was the only unanimous selection for the two All-Rookie teams.

He is the team's 11th player in franchise history, and the first since Jonas Valanciunas, to be named to an all-rookie team.

An undrafted rookie, Davis is the latest in a line of players over recent years to have benefitted from the Raptors' developmental process.
