Cardi B Files to Divorce Offset

Cardi B and Offset had a very public breakup, followed by some rather regrettable attempts from the latter to win the former back. Cardi B filed for divorce from her husband of almost three years, Migos rapper, Offset, according to TMZ on September 15.

The filing also states that Cardi, who's listed as the petitioner, "shows the Court that she is a fit and proper person to have legal custody of the minor child with final decision-making authority over legal custody matters, and to have primary physical custody of the minor child".

Sadly, Cardi's divorce filing comes just a few days shy of what would've been their third wedding anniversary. The hearing is set for November 4, 2020. She reportedly states in the divorce documents that they're now separated, and "there are no prospects for a reconciliation". They brought in an officiant to formally marry them, and shortly thereafter. filed for and received a marriage certificate in Fulton County, which made it legit. She also wants Offset to pay child support - unclear how much though at this point.

Cardi, 27, and the Migos singer, 28, secretly Wednesday in 2017, just months after they began dating.

"It's like everybody is coming down my neck like, 'Why are you not leaving him?" But what you want me to do?

'I'm not your property. Nobody makes my decisions about my life but me. "It's not right, what he f-ing did - but people don't know what I did, 'cause I ain't no angel".

They hit a rough patch in the marriage a few years ago - amid cheating rumors - but they buried the hatchet and seemed tight. this after a whole lot of apologizing and courting on Offset's end.
