Minecraft Dungeons adding full touch controls to Xbox Cloud Gaming on phones

Interestingly, Microsoft appears to have completely ditched the "Project xCloud" name, making no mention of it at all in the announcement as it brings the streaming service in under the Xbox Game Pass branding. As per the intro, xCloud goes live in 22 countries today but will roll out further as Microsoft ensures service stability and scalability in the initial markets. This curated selection will become available to gamers via the Xbox Game Pass library.

Launching tomorrow in 22 different countries, Xbox's new Cloud Gaming service will be included with any customer's Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for no additional cost. As of this writing, cloud gaming is available only in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States. A controller can still be used with the game on xCloud, but if you find yourself caught short without a gamepad, you can still jump into the dungeon crawler and start exploring.

One of the great things about Microsoft's gaming service is that you don't have to own an Xbox console or a gaming PC to take advantage of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

The service supports cloud saves, which means players will be able to continue their progress on a game played on console when they switch to their phone, as well as cross-platform play in supported titles. Touch controls are generally not supported but some developers are working on adding this feature to their games.

Games available include Batman: Arkham Knight, Battletoads, Carrion, Darksiders III, DayZ, Destiny 2, Fallout 76, Gato Roboto, Gears 5, Grounded, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Hollow Knight, Nier: Automata, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Resident Evil 7, The Outer Worlds, Yakuza Zero and over one hundred more games.
