Bentley Bentayga Speed unveiled

If you are thinking of buying a strong auto for yourself, then the leading British automaker Bentley Motors has introduced its new SUV Bentayga Speed in the market in a new avatar, which is adorned with a very attractive look and powerful engine capability.

In terms of the powertrain, the 2021 Bentayga Speed carries over the 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine with the eight-speed automatic gearbox from its predecessor, without any changes. This time, the Bentayga Speed will be the only W12-powered Bentayga model in the line-up, as the base model will remain V8-powered.

With exceptional performance, comfort and handling, maximum speed is also increased to 190 miles per hour (306 km/h), while the 0-62 miles per hour (0-100 km/h) sprint is delivered in 3.9 seconds.

Bentley's Bentayga has managed to scale to the top of the brand's sales charts thanks to around 20,000 customers taking the plunge, and Bentley fully intends to keep the momentum going. The effect is a more dynamic and engaging drive.

Bentley Dynamic Ride is the world's first electric active roll control technology that utilises an unrivalled 48V system.

The same 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system found across the rest of the 2021 Bentayga range is also featured. The front and rear sections are new, with the front receiving a rounder, more muscular look and jewel-like headlights while the rear drops the current square-shaped taillights for the oval design seen on the latest Continental GT. Buyers looking to further enhance the design of their SUVs can opt for a black pack that darkens most of the chrome elements, as well as the wheels and exhaust tips. Dark-tint tail lamps complete the Speed exterior signature.

The new-look exterior has been tweaked to match the elevated levels of performance of the Bentayga Speed.

Alterations made to the Bentayga Speed continue in the cabin through a unique color split that has "dark colors enhanced by primary hide accents running throughout the seats and interior trim", the company says. Elegantly crafted "swooshes" of contrast leather swipe around the doors, along the edges of the seat cushions and backrest bolsters, and on the lower console.

The advanced navigation system features free-text, context-specific search entry, including an address or point of interest. The Head-Up Display can now project traffic information, street names and distance to destination too. New USB Type-C ports and a wireless phone charger are part of the standard kit as well. For example, the front splitter, side sills and roof spoiler are finished in carbon fiber.

The multi-award-winning Bentayga set the luxury SUV benchmark when it was launched in 2015, offering customers the ultimate Grand Touring experience unrestricted by landscape or conditions.

To help haul the big SUV up, Bentely's most powerful carbon ceramic brakes are available as an optional extra which not only add stopping power, but also save 20kg over the standard steel brake setup. Now, the W-12 Bentayga Speed is getting a similar smattering of updates for 2021.
