Sixers star Ben Simmons out vs. Magic, treatment options under consideration

Ben Simmons was officially diagnosed with a subluxation of the left patella and has been ruled out for the time being by the Philadelphia 76ers. He left Wednesday's win over the Washington Wizards after appearing to injure himself while securing a rebound.

According to Tim Bontemps of ESPN, head coach Brett Brown said the Sixers will have a better sense of how they will proceed with Simmons treatment in the next 24 hours. He then exited the game and didn't return. Simmons had to come out of the game as a result and was forced to take an MRI to see what the extent of the damage was. He was considered to be day-to-day.

Not that there is anything wrong with the three choices, those three are some of the top defensive players in the league as well, but Simmons has been absolutely incredible on that end all season.

At 41-27, the 76ers now have the sixth-best record in the Eastern Conference.
