Sacha Baron Cohen Infiltrates Right-Wing Militia Event With Racist Sing-Along

Sacha Baron Cohen on Saturday wore a disguise and led a singalong with racist lyrics at a right-wing rally in Olympia, Washington, according to Variety.

Cohen reportedly contacted organisers - the far-right group Washington Three Percenters - a week ago, offering to provide sponsorship and entertainment for the event.

He began singing a song crammed with lyrics reflecting far-right conspiracies and talking points: from the coronavirus being a hoax, to it being created in a Wuhan lab, through to the infamous "lock her up" chants directed at Hillary Clinton during the 2016 United States presidential election.

Dressed in a cowboy hat and overalls, Cohen sang racist lyrics attacking President Obama, Hillary Clinton and Anthony Fauci, as well as CNN and the World Health Organization.

"Obama, what we gonna do, inject him with the Wuhan flu".

The outrageous funnyman has yet to take responsibility for the stunt, but onlookers claim he posed as the leader of a Political Action Committee (PAC), who offered to sponsor the festival and pay for a stage and security. He repeatedly mentioned "the Wuhan Flu", a phrase some lawmakers have used to blame China for the spread of the novel coronavirus, and talked about "chopping them up like the Saudis do". WHO, what we gonna do?

And apparently, the crowd did get wise to the act, but not before they were soundly humiliated with the widely-recorded singalong and a separate instance where Baron Cohen snuck in under a different disguise.

Baron Cohen was honored a year ago by the Anti-Defamation League because of his record of using humor to fight hate, including through his Showtime series "Who is America?" which satirizes American politics. Not only that, Cohen's security were there with express orders to stop anyone from getting him off the stage or pulling the power.

After the crowd realized what he was saying, and turned on him, his security then rushed the stage and evacuated them to a waiting private ambulance that was contracted to be their escape transport.
