FA Cup: Man United face Chelsea, Arsenal take on Man City

Manchester United were the first to make their way into the semi-finals on Saturday evening, though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side laboured to a 2-1 win over a 10 man Norwich after extra time, captain Harry Maguire netting a 118th-minute victor for the Red Devils.

Chelsea went through with a narrow scoreline, too, as Ross Barkley was on target in the 63rd minute to secure a 1-0 win at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

The clash between United and Chelsea is a repeat of the FA Cup final from two years ago, where Eden Hazard's penalty gave the Blues victory.

Manchester United last played Chelsea at the semi-final stage in 1996 when Andy Cole and David Beckham scored the goals in a 2-1 victory, Ruud Gullit, shortly to succeed Glenn Hoddle as player-manager, scored for Chelsea against a side that went on to complete the Double by beating Liverpool in the final by virtue of Eric Cantona's victor.

Arsenal required a stoppage-time effort from Dani Ceballos to book their place in the last four, with the Gunners' victor against Sheffield United coming just four minutes after David McGoldrick had struck a late equaliser.

At the time of publishing, City were goalless away to Newcastle, who last won the FA Cup in 1955.

Manchester United are the second most frequent champions with 12 wins to their name, with their most recent coming in 2016.

The FA Cup final is scheduled to be played at Wembley on August 1.
