Burna Boy wins 2020 BET Award for Best International Act

A few weeks ago Sha Sha made history by becoming the first Zimbabwean to be nominated for the BET awards which showcase the best and most attractive aspects of the Black experience.

She was nominated alongside Rema from Nigeria, Celeste and Young T & Bugsey from the United Kingdom, and Hatik and Sracy from France.

Sha Sha and Burna Boy are the toast of Africa following their wins at this year's BET Awards. The award is decided by fans.

The award was also presented by South Africa's own Nomzamo Mbatha.

However he accepted the award from the comfort of his home in Nigeria.

Burna Boy beat the likes of Sho Madjozi, Santan Dave and Stormzy to win the award on Sunday.

Burna Boy in his acceptance speech said "Now is the time to overturn that and go back to the royalty that we were".

The awards which for the first time was done virtually due to outbreak of COVID-19 saw the Nigerian music star getting the bragging claims for the night and also winning the award twice in a role since past year.
