Texas County Confirms Second Positive Case of COVID 19

Coffey County now has the second-highest number with 21.

Of the seven new cases, four are males between the ages of 20-40s and three females between the ages of 30-50s, the press release notes.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Monroe County undercounts the total number of infected people because testing supplies are limited, and current guidelines advise testing only of people hospitalized with respiratory symptoms and health care workers or first responders who have symptoms of COVID-19.

No deaths were reported.

McLeod County Public Health will be responsible for coordinating essential services for those in isolation and quarantine due to COVID-19 exposure.

No additional personal information about the residents will be provided in order to protect personal privacy. Logan County has three positive cases with one hospitalization.

"There's no way to analyze this", said health department spokesman Steve Brandy.

The Durham resident was over 65 years old and had underlying health conditions, Durham County reported in a news release.

The Rogersville Health Department will conduct drive-thru testing Monday through Friday, 1-3 p.m.

"We just have to assume that we just need to take the precautions no matter where we're at", like staying home when you're sick and keeping at least 6 feet away from others, VanGundy had said.
