Emotional Dua Lipa releases new album this Friday

She has moved forward the release of her new album "Future Nostalgia" to this Friday March 27.

"Future Nostalgia" is arriving a week sooner than planned and her upcoming UK/European tour is postponed. The album was also leaked online yesterday (March 22), another possible reason for releasing the album earlier.

Dua Lipa suggested that the global chaos caused by the coronavirus pandemic played a part in the change. "I've been a little bit conflicted about whether it's the right thing to do during this time because lots of people are suffering, but I think the thing we need the most at the moment is music, and we need joy and we need to be trying to see the light. I just want to make people happy".

"I basically wanted to shut all of that out and not allow the pressure to get to me, and get into the studio with my friends and make something that I was really proud of".

Fans rallied behind Lipa for having to deal with the album leak.

It's not now known when the physical CD and vinyl variants of Future Nostalgia will be released.

Earlier this week, Dua confirmed that her next single from the album will be called "Break My Heart".

This could have been good news for her followers, however, due to the way things went, they have externalized her annoyance, as Dua Lipa was practically forced to make this decision, ruining the plans she had been working on. She informed that new dates for her United Kingdom and European tour would be out by Tuesday and the tickets would be valid for the new dates. "New UK and Europe tour dates announced tomorrow 10AM GMT + rest of world dates coming ASAP", she added.
