Parikrama Lead Guitarist and Founder Sonam Sherpa Passes Away

48-year-old Sonam Sherpa who is the founder of the well-acclaimed band Parikrama died in Kurseong today.

According to police, Sherpa suffered a cardiac arrest. Sherpa was in Kurseong to record music for an upcoming movie.

Sonam Sherpa was among the founding members of the rock band Parikrama. He has popular songs like "But It Rained", "I Believe", "Am I Dreaming" and many more to his credits.

"I heard the news a few minutes ago. It is still not clear where the last rites will be performed". For the unversed, cardiac arrest is the sudden loss of blood flow, which leads to failure of the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body effectively.

Sherpa, who born on October 8, 1971, in Kalimpong in West Bengal, was a renowned musician and composer. Since 2003, the musician had been running the Parikrama School of Music which offers courses in instrumental and vocal music as well as artist management and marketing.

It is to be mentioned that Sonam Sherpa was also featured in the "Top 10 Guitarist of India" list by the Rolling Stones magazine. Young Turks is a show that focusses on young entrepreneurs.
