The Game pays tribute to Kobe Bryant with new tattoo

For the first time, TNT's exclusive presentation of the 69th edition of the NBA All-Star Game 2020 presented by Kia will include commercial-free coverage coinciding with the NBA's newly formatted, untimed fourth quarter on Monday, Feb. 17.

The NBA today announced that Jennifer Hudson will perform a special tribute to the late Kobe Bryant at the All-Star Game on Sunday at Chicago's United Center.
The tribute will also honor Bryant's daughter Gianna and seven others who died with them in a helicopter crash on February 26.

Washington D.C. [USA], Feb 13 (ANI): American singer Jennifer Hudson is all set to perform a special tribute to late basketball player Kobe Bryant, at NBA All-Star Game in Chicago. Bryant died tragically January 26 after a helicopter accident that also claimed the life of his daughter Gianna and seven other victims. At the start of the fourth quarter, the game clock will be switched off and also a Final Target Score will be collection.

WarnerMedia said the ad-free fourth quarter will not affect overall ad loads during the game and isn't expected to dent its All-Star Game ad revenue. It will be determined by taking the leading team's total cumulative score through three quarters and adding 24 points - the 24 representing Bryant's jersey number for the final 10 seasons of his National Basketball Association career.

The team that wins the All-Star game will be the first to reach a target score, to be determined by the total points the team in the lead scored in the first three quarters combined plus 24, again in honor of Bryant.

The tribute comes after the hip hop star - who wore a Los Angeles Lakers top as he got the tattoo - previously shared a photo of him alongside Kobe, and thanked him for "everything over the years".
