The Batman Camera Test Reveals Robert Pattinson in the Batsuit

This artwork imagines The Batman star Robert Pattinson with a version of the suit players of the Telltale game will be familliar with.

The Batman has a June 25, 2021 release directed by Matt Reeves starring Robert Pattinson (upcoming "Tenet", "The Lighthouse", "Good Time") as Gotham City's vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne.

It's finally here, folks.

Check out a first look at Robert Pattinson as The Batman as director Matt Reeves shows off a camera test.

Reeves' behind-the-scenes creative team includes Oscar-nominated director of photography Greig Fraser (Lion, Dune); his Planet of the Apes production designer, James Chinlund; editors William Hoy (the Planet of the Apes films) and Tyler Nelson (Rememory); and Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Dan Lemmon (The Jungle Book); Oscar-nominated SFX supervisor Dominic Tuohy (1917, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker). Obviously that image is very, very dark, so we've taken the liberty of brightening the image a bit for anyone who'd like a clearer look. What I find most interesting is that rather than simply being a logo designed on the costume, the Bat-insignia looks like it serves as a weapon that can be removed from the chest plate and used as a Batarang. Also, Pattinson looks fucking stellar in that cowl, doesn't he?

Tell us what you think of Robert Pattinson's Batman in the comment section below! If not, that likely means we'll have to wait until The Batman drops its first trailer to take in the full ensemble. The main suit that Batman wore in the game was clearly inspired by the New 52 comics, giving the Caped Crusader a bulky armored appearance while still sticking to to his iconic style.
