Jim Carey Said What to a Reporter?

"That's it. It's all done now".

Carrey, 58, plays the villain Dr. Robotnik in the film, but his comments to Charlotte Long of Heat magazine that are being called sexist by many have cast him as the villain in real life.

Many online were quick to speak out against Carrey, labeling his remarks as inappropriate and "unacceptable". After all, it didn't seem to bother Long at all.

"I don't know what to say to that", she said with a laugh as the actor, also laughing, told her to "just own it". He was blasted as a "sleazeball" on social media.

One Twitter user described what Carrey said as a comment about being "mentally present", and that his comment was about him not worrying about what he's going to do later while fulfilling his bucket list, but rather the interview itself. "As a former reporter, I would be very embarrassed and offended if someone said this to me in an interview".

One Twitter user wrote that they "lost respect" for Carrey after seeing the interview, and applauded Long for how she handled it. Everyone is so offended about everything. The hypocrisy is ridiculous.

Jim Carrey was criticised for his answer to the journalist's question about his bucket list. It was an off the cuff remark. "He was trying to be nice". After being caught off guard by his response, she continued the interview.

Jim Carrey attends the 74th Venice Film Festival at Sala Grande on September 5, 2017 in Venice, Italy.

"What's been your best bucket list moment in your life, when you look back as something you always wanted to achieve and you did it, and you think, 'Wow!"

Sonic the Hedgehog opens in theaters nationwide on Friday.
