"Indiana Jones 5" Begins Filming In Two Months

Steven Spielberg has said that he expects it to be Harrison Ford's last turn as Indiana Jones, but he thinks the franchise will continue beyond the fifth installment as well. It was originally scheduled for release in May of this year, but Spielberg, Disney and Lucasfilm rejected it for redoing.

Ford dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show for an interview that will air Friday to promote his new film, Call of the Wild, and while there, he gave a few hints about the upcoming Indiana Jones film.

The Indiana Jones 5 production is beginning earlier than we thought!

Asked about the challenge of coming back to a role after many years - the inference being those of Han Solo or Indiana Jones - Ford joked: "Trying not to look silly running around in tight trousers and high boots". Harrison Ford: Trying not look silly riding around in tight trousers and high boots.

"If we have the opportunity to make another", Ford adds. "I feel obliged to make sure our ambitions are as ambitious as they were when we started". "You have a sense of responsibility to your customers ... the fact that these people support my business, and I'm responsible to them for the quality of the service that I offer". Ford is now 77 years old. It's unbelievable how he has been able to return to several characters in recent years considering his age.

He also noted that he has enjoyed revisiting his classic characters, including Han Solo from Star Wars. And apparently he sees what he does as a transaction in which he sells something to customers.

Talk of the so-far untitled fifth movie began soon after, and back then there was even talk of making Shia LaBeouf's character Mutt Williams, from the fourth movie, the lead. They waited nearly 20 years to get another Indy movie and, despite the movie's massive box office ($ 786 million worldwide), fans would probably like to forget that it ever happened. But it won't be long until he's getting back into more familiar adventure mode with his trusty whip and fedora in Indiana Jones 5.
