Ja Morant fires back at Steph Curry over Andre Iguodala support

Memphis players were asked about that following Monday night's win over the Detroit Pistons, and Dillon Brooks said he hopes the Grizzlies trades Iguodala so they can beat the veteran.

Memphis is reportedly holding agency in its trade calls for for Iguodala, who's prepared to sit down out the remainder of the season if a deal is not made this week, in keeping with The Athletic. Aldridge added that Iguodala and the Grizzlies previously agreed at the start of the season that he would not report to the team. Iguodala hasn't played a single game for Memphis since joining in the summer.

Iguodala, 36, spent the previous five seasons competing for National Basketball Association titles with the Warriors.

Meanwhile Memphis is having a nice season under first-year coach Taylor Jenkins (25-25 as of Tuesday morning).

"First time I've seen him was on TV, talking about us". "I feel like he's doing the right thing for his career, but we don't really care". A guy that's on our team that doesn't want to be on our team. Star rookie point guard Ja Morant posted a shouting emoji on social media, and guard De'Anthony Melton reacted with a shrugging emoji on Twitter. "I laugh at that type of stuff".

Not surprisingly, Curry fans fired back at Morant, but Morant seems to be loving it. Iguodala has sat out the entire 19-20 season to date.

Led by Morant, Brooks and sophomore Jaren Jackson Jr., the Grizzlies now occupy the eighth seed in the Western Conference at 25-25. The team is 13-5 since Christmas, a hot streak that includes wins over fellow postseason contenders, including the Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, and Denver Nuggets.
