Providers like FreeCharge, MobiKwik, Google Pay, and Paytm are now listed, and operators like Reliance Jio, Vodafone-Idea, Airtel, and BSNL are compatible with this feature.

Google on Tuesday introduced a new feature to help Indian users discover, compare, and recharge prepaid mobile plans using its ' Google search'. The search result will then show a Mobile Recharge section, where users will have to fill in key fields such as phone number, operator, and circle, then hit 'Browse plans'. These subscribers use a variety of ways to recharge their mobile phone, however, with the introduction of this service the company wants to make the process easy for the customers. Now, about Google bringing prepaid electricity plans and other services into the fold too.

Open Google and search "prepaid mobile recharge" or a similar query.

To recharge any SIM, simply select a plan to view the various recharge offers from mobile payment service providers such as Mobikwik, Paytm, FreeCharge and Google Pay.

You will also be shown the offers that you can avail when you recharge with specific plans. Choose the recharge plan of your choice and Google will redirect you to the payment screen.

It is worth mentioning that you will still need to have these apps installed on your phone to avail the service.

The feature is now available for Android users who can search for "prepaid mobile recharge", "mobile recharge plans", or any other relevant set of keywords.

When the user completes the transaction, the provider's confirmation page includes a Back to Google button that directs the user back to Search. We could expect the feature to expand to iOS in the future.
