Fortnite is dead, long live Fortnite Chapter 2

It's possible that Fortnite would forgo a conventional Season 11, or maybe Season 11 will be part of the game's name changing to Fortnite: Chapter 2.

The news comes from Eurogamer who picked up on numerous fans tweeting and sharing a leaked piece of art from the Italian iOS App Store.

"Capitolo" is Italian for "Chapter".

The artwork showcases some basic looking Fortnite characters in simplistic clothing and carrying similarly simplistic weapons.

The image also shows two boats whizzing across the river on the left, which may suggest that aquatic vehicles will be added in the next season.

If there is a new map, there's an unanswered question: will it replace the existing map, or supplement it? Therefore, Epic may be radically changing the map, but keeping some key locations.

Now, it's no secret that Fortnite applies some pretty radical changes to its maps with each new season, but bigger fans than myself have been sharing the image on Twitter and pointing out that it's nearly certainly a brand new map. This season however, the live event will take place just before the season ends. A big in-game event slated for October 13th is described simply as "The End", and the last loading screen of the season shows players waving farewell to the battle bus.

This is one of the most revealing preseason leaks that Fortnite fans have ever seen. According to a leak, the game's upcomimg content will be referred to as Chapter 2.

This is a smart move by Epic as it will bring in the section of players that abandoned the game after its first few seasons and moved onto to simpler Battle Royale games.
