According to Shea, evidence of gambling, including card playing, and two firearms were found at the scene.

Shea said the victims range in age from 32 to 49 years old.

At least four people died and several others were injured in a shooting early Saturday at a private social club in New York, US media agency NBC New York reported.

Victims of the incident were transported to Kings County Hospital and Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The deceased are four men, who were pronounced dead at the scene of Triple A Aces Private & Social Rental Space in the Weeksville, Brooklyn neighborhood around 7am when emergency responders arrived. Two may live out of state and the rest live in neighborhoods throughout Brooklyn. Police said the information is preliminary, and didn't provide further details. The remaining reside in different parts of Brooklyn. The gambling operation was unlicensed, but police had not previously received any complaints about the location, authorities said.

No arrests have been made in connection to a shooting Saturday morning in Brooklyn, according to NYPD spokesman Brian Magoolaghan.

Investigators say there is nothing to indicate that this shooting was gang related. One woman was also shot in the leg, the NYPD said.
