Former President Jimmy Carter scolded President Donald Trump for not honoring the deceased John McCain, but Carter had been far less kind when the Senator had been alive.

Meanwhile, John McCain's family has released the late senator's final letter to the American people.

Russell, a powerful Georgia Democrat who served from 1933 to 1971 but whose legacy is clouded over his pro-segregationist views.
