In each episode, competitors from across America will step inside an electrifying arena and put themselves to the ultimate test by facing one of six reigning Titans.

Sunday was a big day for Johnson - he also debuted the trailer for his summer blockbuster "Skyscraper", in which he plays a paraplegic security expert attempting to save his family from kidnappers in a burning building, during the Super Bowl telecast. Productions will co-produce The Titan Games, which will stand out from other competition shows by taking regular people and throwing them into "the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in epic head-to-head challenges created to test mind, body, and heart".

"They will battle their opponents in remarkable feats that will require both mental stamina and physical strength", NBC explained. Johnson will soon join forces with the producers of American Ninja Warrior for a brand new competition series called The Titan Games for NBC.
