The Galaxy S9 could get some serious camera upgrades

In a new article from ETNews in Korea, several details regarding hardware and specs for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus were recently revealed.

We don't think this is for the Samsung Galaxy S9 duo but it can be of the Galaxy Note 9. But if it's a feature-packed all-round Android experience you seek, that's where the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ come in. Apart from processor, another big change could be introduced on the camera front. A camera is on the back of the device and the images make it looks as though there will be a visible hinge on at least one side of the device. The variable nature of the lens will also help with achieving better photos in low light situations and then being able to transition to brighter environments for different types of photography.

This year, there is pressure from investors who see a successful flagship smartphone launch as a key way to reverse the slide in Samsung stock.

According to the leaked Samsung Patents, the company is working on a smartphone which could feature everything under display including the sensors and the front facing camera. They were the first ones to taste success with an "Edge" display and they also spearheaded the bezel-less revolution with the "Infinity Display" on the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Moving forward to the display, Galaxy S9 will measure 5.77-inch and will pack a 3000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S9 Plus likely to bump that up to a 6.22-inch and 3500mAh cell.

Finally, the report notes that the Galaxy S9 will bring over Samsung's first display that will incorporate Y-OCTA technology.

The slow march to a foldable smartphone future continues. The home button will not have a clickable mechanism, but it will act as another hole to accommodate all the key components that were present in the notch of the iPhone X.

What do you guys think about this idea by Samsung? Additionally, this patent shows the time on the front, though it's hard to tell if it will be a full-functioning display or just a small spot designated for telling the time. This includes Moto Z3, Z3 Play, Moto G6, G6 Plus, G6 Play, and Moto X5.
