Some previous reports had mentioned that the new Oreo build would make the fingerprint reader work faster and would provide the dual-SIM feature some much-need improvements. The time spent opening applications, greatly reduced, so that overall, the smartphone has become quicker. LG has announced that the final build is now rolling out to V30 owners. Following the streak, the company has now started taking beta testers for its Mi A1 smartphone, which is an Android One device. Apart from Android 8.0 Oreo update, the company also revealed that the device will get Android P update as well.

Along with this, the Oreo update will also enable the apps to load faster and with improved animations. The update has all the usual feature including picture in picture mode, smart text election etc. Additionally, the Oxygen 5.0 update has a bunch of system upgrades with improvements to the existing UI of the phone. Just like Oreo updates for other devices, Oreo on Mi A1 also brings a slew of features such as Picture-in-Picture, redesigned Settings app, Autofill, and more. The update is now being rolling out via over-the-air (OTA) and is limited to South Korea. The update, for now, is limited to V30 users in South Korea but users in other markets should get the update in the coming months. HMD Global has already made a commitment that it will roll out the stable version of the Android Oreo update to its smartphone series by the end of this year.
