Instagram Feed to starts showing you "Recommended" posts

The new "Recommended for You" feature is currently rolling out now to both the iOS and Android version of the Instagram app.

Instagram explained that the "recommended for you" section is now being rolled out to all iOS and Android users.

When scrolling through your feed, Instagram will now suggest posts that are Recommended for You. You can't permanently remove the recommended posts, but tapping on the three dots and then the "Hide" option will make these disappear until you've gone through all of the new ones from who you're actually following. Instagram has been trying to shove the recommend feature for quite some time, but earlier it only appeared in the Explore section. The company explains on its help site that it determines which content to suggest based on the stuff that is "liked" by the accounts you choose to follow.

When scrolling through Feed, you may see posts that are Recommended for You.

The new "Recommended posts" will not block the home feed or replace the existing posts, as per reports. "With a single tap of the Direct icon, you can send your own live video - or a live video you're watching - to a friend or a group of friends to encourage them to join in the fun", said Instagram in a blog post.

Users have choice to follow a hashtag or the new recommended.

Instagram started testing the feature last month when only a handful of people were able to access it. This way, you can follow things that interest you, instead of just following people. You will see different hashtags displayed in your search result along with related accounts.

The change comes after Instagram earlier this month started letting users follow hashtags.

Instagram is continuously introducing new features to amuse its users.
