Found Dead In Basement Apartment In Upstate New York

Police in Troy, N.Y., are exploring the passings of four individuals discovered Tuesday in the storm cellar of a home, calling them a conceivable fourfold manslaughter.

A property manager found four bodies in a basement apartment in upstate NY on Tuesday. DeWolf said all four deaths appear suspicious and are being investigated as homicides.

He declined to identify the deceased or reveal whether any weapons were recovered at the scene.

"It's disgusting, terrible, sad", DeWolf told the newspaper.

A block of Second Avenue has reportedly been shut down while police investigate. As of the latest reports available, no arrests have been made in connection with the deaths. Also at the site was Rensselaer County District Attorney Joel Abelove. It is unclear how long the bodies were in the home before they were discovered.

Detectives and evidence technical teams are processing the scene.
