Shadow of the Colossus Will Cost $40; Cinematic Trailer Released

The second video for Shadow of the Colossus, which was shown during the live stream, offers us a bit more gameplay footage and highlights one of the game's many colossus fights.

The remake's release date of 6 February 2018 was detailed at the end of its Paris Games Week trailer.

Among the many games shown, we got a chance to take another look at the Shadow of the Colossus remake now in development. Wander is seen riding Agro to chase down Phalanx, before he manages to get on the beast's back to drive a sword into a sigil, harming the colossus. That is because there are no towns or dungeons to explore in Shadow of the Colossus, leaving players simply with Wander and the missions to take down the 16 bosses within an expansive world. The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection for PlayStation 3 gave Team Ico fans a chance to play those games at a consistent 30 fps frame rate. Sony likely doesn't want to mess with Shadow's winning formula too much, although it would be awesome to see some of the colossi that were originally planned but cut from the final version of the game. So the fact that it's being remade for the PlayStation 4 by conversion kings Bluepoint is exciting.

Shadow Of The Colossus was the undoubtedly the cherry on top at yesterday's Playstation Paris Games Week Showcase. In PlayStation 4 Pro there will be 2 graphics modes, one favoring the framerate and one giving a solid 4K resolution.
