Call of Duty: WWII will only launch with three War mode maps

Call of Duty fans were treated today with a trailer for one of the most beloved multiplayer maps making a return in Call of Duty: WWII.

This includes Aachen, Ardennes Forest, Flak Tower, Gibraltar, Gustav Cannon, London Docks, Pointe Du Hoc, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont and USS Texas.

You'll get access to those map expansions if you have a season pass - you'll need that season pass if you want to get the bonus Carentan map when the game launches, as well. Just like the rest of the multiplayer modes, War mode will be available in hardcore as well.

A while back we reported that Activision had resubmitted Call of Duty: WWII for re-classification, where the only change seemed to have been the toning down of implied sexual assault. What that means is that the DLC is going to be released for Sony's console first before it arrives on any other platform. It hits Xbox One and PC a month later.

Sledgehammer will follow this up with three additional DLC packs later in 2018. Call of Duty: WW2 focuses on a band in the American 1st Infantry Division, as they fight their way through the European theatre of the war.

Pre-order fans can already pre-load the game to ensure it's ready for launch.
