Messi nets 2 as Barca rebounds before Juve and Madrid games

Atletico Madrid kept themselves ahead in the battle with Sevilla for third place after a 3-0 win over bottom club Osasuna at the Vicente Calderon, but missed two late penalties.

Three minutes later, Real Madrid's midfielder, Francisco Roman Alarcon Suarez, commonly known as Isco, scored an equalizer.

Isco is willing to stay, but Don Balon says Real president Florentino Perez has left him disappointed over new contract negotiations.

"A substitute? Zidane picks the team and is managing the squad in an extraordinary way".

Isco knows the controversy such a move would bring, but for now is refusing to shut the door.

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, right, and team mate Karim Benzema arrive for a training session prior to the Champions League quarterfinal first leg soccer match between FC Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, in Munich, Germany, Tuesday, April 11, 2017. "We suffered from the first minute until the end", the French manager said about today's opponent.

Barcelona hosts Real Sociedad on Saturday, its first match since losing 3-0 at Juventus in the Champions League this week.

"I feel like I am unfair with those that don't play, but it is always going to happen", added Zidane.

Morata had a decent chance to send Real Madrid ahead just before the 30-minute mark when he rose above Jean-Sylvain Babin to meet a cross from Vasquez, but the Spain global headed over Ivan Cuellar's crossbar.

Sporting's joy was short-lived as Isco was allowed a touch too much room inside the area, shuffled away from Carlos Carmona, skipped past Vesga and Fernando Amorebieta, and lashed a shot into the top corner for a similarly high-quality equaliser.

And yet Real's reserves gathered enough composure to equalise soon after once again, this time with Morata producing a good header at the far post to penetrate the home outfit's defence for the second time in the match.
