Mumbai: India's pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah will receive the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award (2018-19) for being the best global cricketer at the BCCI Annual Awards, scheduled to be held here later on Sunday in Mumbai.

Bumrah began their Test career in January 2018 on Team India's tour of South Africa. Virender Sharma received the best umpire award in the domestic cricket 2018-19. Shefali features scored 222 runs in 9 T20 Internationals.

The 28-year-old cricketer made her debut in International cricket on 5 April 2013 in a Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) match against Bangladesh. Her India teammate Smriti Mandhana has scored the highest runs 349 from six matches and will receive a trophy and a cheque for her efforts.

Meanwhile, former India captains Krishnamachari Srikkanth and Anjum Chopra were presented with Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award and the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women respectively.

Dilip Sardesai award is conferred on both the highest wicket-taker and highest run-getter in Test cricket.

Agarwal bagged the best worldwide debut men player while Dube received the Lala Amarnath award for the best all-rounder in the Ranji Trophy 2018-19.

He scored 2,062 runs in 43 Tests, along with 4,091 runs in 146 ODIs. For the most runs, Cheteshwar Pujara, with 677 runs from eight Tests at an average of over 52 and three centuries, will be honoured.

During this season, he claimed 34 wickets in six Tests, along with 31 from 17 ODIs and eight in seven T20Is.

India and Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dube won the Lala Amarnath Award for the best all-rounder in the Ranji Trophy while Delhi's Nitish Rana was awarded the same for his performance in the limited overs domestic competition. It will be a special evening and I congratulate the winners.

Speaking on the award, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said: "The BCCI Awards is our way of recognizing the finest on-field performances right from the age group to senior level and also honour our legends".
