Apple debuts iPhone 11 Pro with triple camera setup

Taking on Samsung, Pixel and OnePlus, Apple has launched three new iPhones, packed with top-notch features. The iPhone 11 features a dual rear camera setup while the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max feature a triple rear camera setup.

But that's not it. But people throughout the world had a lot of things to express about the new iPhone. QuickTake is a new feature that lets you tap and hold the shutter button from the Photos section of the camera to take a short video without swiping over to the Video section.

Executives instead spent almost as much time Tuesday talking about products as they did touting free trial subscriptions for Apple's new streaming services, promoting its new lineup of video games and TV shows, and trade-in programs that allow customers to swap existing phones for discounts on new models.

Another pre-announcement rumour that sadly proved false, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro will not add support for the company's smart stylus, the Apple Pencil.

With both these products, Apple continues to push its vision of how everyone will use them, so convinced that it's right that it is sure it only has to repeat the message enough times before everyone realizes that the company was correct all along. In addition to them, Apple also announced a bunch of services that will be available on them along with older iPhones as well.

Apple also invited Watch users to volunteer for three new health studies, though data collected will remain anonymous. Apple also reduced the price of Apple Watch Series 3 to a starting price of USD199.

Apple's promised streaming television service - dubbed TV+ - will launch internationally on November 1.

The iPhone 11 comes with a back design that is sculpted from a single piece of glass, featuring what Apple claims is the toughest glass ever in a smartphone.

The line-up of original shows will include "The Morning Show", "Dickinson", "See", "For All Mankind" and "The Elephant Queen".

The new iPhone 11 will have two back cameras, including an ultra wide-angle lens and the next generation of microchips, the A13.

"As Apple starts to become less relevant to consumers with diminishing impact from fancy industrial design tricks and their cloud software offerings that can not compete with Google's, they're subtly doubling down on how their device ecosystem is inherently more private than any other ones out there", he said.

The pricing of Apple TV+ "is a show stopper and a major shot across the bow at the likes of Netflix and Disney among others", Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives said.

"That's why you're seeing the hammering in some of the other video service-related names like Netflix, Amazon and Roku".

At a cost of $US5 per month, Apple Arcade will be a tab in the App Store and will allow subscribers to play more than 100 games exclusive to Apple.

Anyone who buys a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch or Mac computer will get a year of Apple TV+ thrown in free of charge.
