‘TV Santa Claus’ drops tube television sets on Virginia porches

An individual in a similar disguise pulled the same prank in another Virginia neighbourhood last August.

In the video shared by WTVR-TV, the man can be seen wearing an outdated television and a jumpsuit as he strolls up to homes. Then he stealthily walks away.

Residents in the Henrico County Hampshire neighborhood woke up to more than 60 old TVs at various homes Sunday morning.

Neighbor Jim Brooksbank told WTVR-TV, 'He's committed to his trade'.

Just like Santa Claus, except this is the worst kind of Santa Claus because the TVs he leaves behind are old.

Old CRT TVs mysteriously turning up on the front steps of a bunch of houses one morning in one neighbourhood in a town in the U.S. state of Virginia? I don't know, ' Brooksbank said.

"They had way too much time on their hands if they had all these TVs and spread them all over the neighbourhood", resident Michael Kroll said.

Henrico Police were alerted to the situation, and reviewed security footage before ultimately determining that it's a silly prank targeting nobody in particular.

Old television sets were found at more than 50 residences over the weekend, and the prankster was caught on surveillance tape.

Neighbors think the practical joke someone having a bit of fun. "I think it's amusing in some ways". Some college students who are just bored.

Officers went around collecting the TVs in a truck on Sunday morning.
