Manchester United youngster Joel Pereira has secured a temporary move away from the club as he links up with Hearts for the season.

Subject to global clearance, the Portugal Under-21 worldwide will embark on his fifth spell away from Old Trafford.

The former Portugal Under-21 worldwide has also had loan spells with Rochdale, Portuguese clubs Belenenses and Vitoria Setubal plus Belgian side Kortrijk.

The former Portugal Under-21 worldwide has made three appearances for his parents club, making his debut in a 4-0 FA Cup win against Wigan Athletic at Old Trafford in 2017.

The new arrival will provide competition for Zdenek Zlamal, who has started all six games this season, and Colin Doyle, who recently extended his contract until 2021.

Hearts finished sixth in the Premiership last season and have collected just one point from their first two matches in the league this term.
