Arsenal defender, Tierney tipped to join Real Madrid, Barcelona

Scott Brown says everyone at Celtic is "delighted" for Kieran Tierney after he moved to Arsenal, describing his transfer as a "fairy-tale".

"He got a fantastic move and he's got a fantastic club as well".

"There are pictures on the wall all over the club of players who have left, and everyone would wish them all the best".

The Norway worldwide faced Celtic during the Champions League qualifiers and also in the Europa League in the past, and former defender Jesper Mathisen, who is now an expert for TV2, believes the 24-year-old would be a good addition for the Hoops.

"For me personally, it should be a fairy-tale story". They sold their left back to Arsenal, so they have a hole there.

"He popped in and everyone was delighted to see him", he said. He got a nice farewell from the players.

According to the Scottish Sun, Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg are readying a £12m bid for the player and also want to pay him handsomely too.

"He's going to be a big miss obviously but there's an opportunity there for someone else to take on the mantle now".

Hoops boss Lennon is to meet with chief executive Peter Lawwell this week to discuss the possibility of bringing in a replacement at left-back, as he aims for a successful campaign in his first full season back in charge of the club. "Meling is a player they know well, because Celtic has played against Rosenborg a couple of times", explained Mathisen.

"No-one has said we are not going to spend some of the money".
