Adam Schefter reports that Washington has no intentions of trading Trent Williams

Trent Williams #71 of the Washington Redskins blocks against the Indianapolis Colts at FedExField on September 16, 2018 in Landover, Maryland.

Williams has been a holdout throughout training camp and stayed away from the team's mandatory minicamp in June.

Williams is reportedly unhappy with how the Redskins medical staff diagnosed and treated a "serious" medical issue previous year.

Rumors about the Redskins eventually trading Williams have been present for the past month or so, but if Schefter is to be believed, Washington plans to be keeping their best player for as long as they can.

Along with affecting Haskins and the other quarterbacks, the absence of Williams has fundamentally changed how Washington operates on offense, according to the Peterson.

One of the game's premiere pass blockers, Williams, 31, is a good fit for a team looking to win now and upgrade its line.

According to PFT's Mike Florio, the Redskins could "pursue $1.62 million from Williams, which is the amount of unearned signing bonus remaining on his current contract".

This stalemate between Williams and the 'Skins has gone on for some time.

Needless to say, this is not the situation you want to be in with your left tackle a few weeks before the season opener.
