Kieran Tierney: Arsenal to make final push for Celtic left-back

He didn't play in Celtic's 7-0 victory over St Johnstone to start the 2019-20 Scottish Premier League season on Saturday.

BBC man David Ornstein who appears to be close to whoever at Arsenal is pushing for the Kieran Tierney deal says the London club still retain an interest despite the injury now held by the left-back.

Unai Emery has targeted the Scotsman the whole summer, with the Gunners coming in with multiple bids over the course of the transfer window, but Tierney's unusual injury problem could scupper the deal.

"We'll see how it is when things settle down because it's a very unsettling time for him at the minute".

Now though, The Sun (via Sports Mole) are hinting that Arsenal might now pursue the transfer any more.

There is not long left before the summer transfer window shuts but there is still more than enough time for Arsenal to complete some last-minute transfer business.

"The Gunners have been strongly linked with the versatile full-back for at least a month, and it has recently been suggested that a transfer was close to completion".

Neil Lennon says Celtic will not be flexible regarding their valuation of the Scotland worldwide, as Arsenal's interest continues.

Both McCarthy and Tosun appear to have fallen out of favour at Goodison Park, and with Everton keen to recruit Zaha, it seems they are willing to part ways with two of their fringe players alongside what would be a club-record fee of £55 million.
