"God Help Indian Cricket": BCCI's Notice To Rahul Dravid Irks Sourav Ganguly

Former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has lashed out at the Board of Control for Cricket in India for sending a notice to Rahul Dravid. He got a notice from BCCI's Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer Justice (Retd) DK Jain as a complaint was filed against the former claiming that Dravid, who is the NCA director now, is also the vice-president of India Cements group.

According to Gupta's complaint, Dravid is allegedly "conflicted" as he is Director of the National Cricket Academy and also employed as vice-president in India Cements group. "He has been given two weeks to reply over Conflict of Interest", a BCCI source told ANI.

Meanwhile, Saurav Ganguly has extended his support to Dravid, saying conflict of interest allegations have become a new fashion in the Indian cricket. "Based on his reply, I will decide whether to proceed further or not", Justice Jain confirmed the development to PTI.

Dravid must now file a no-conflict reply and, if asked by Jain, appear for an in-person hearing.

Harbhajan Singh, who has played under both Ganguly and Dravid, backed both his former captains on the matter.

Also joining him in condemning the BCCI's act for insulting one of the cricket legends was former India bowler Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan felt sending notices to legends like Dravid is like insulting them while adding cricket need their services for improved future. Best way to remain in news. god help Indian cricket.
