Secret of Mana Collection Finally Coming West; Out Later Today

After an early leak due to Square Enix filing for a trademark for the Collection of Mana, the real deal was revealed by Nintendo during its E3 2019 presentation.

As you can see in the announcement trailer above, Trials of Mana looks to be a bit more ambitious then Square Enix's previous Secret of Mana remake, perhaps because the PS Vita is no longer part of the equation.

Trials of Mana is a full high definition remake of the third entry in the Mana series, previously exclusively released in Japan in 1995 as Seiken Densetsu 3. According to a press release from Square Enix, this Trials of Mana remake is not only updating the visuals, but it's also revamping the combat system and how progression/skills operate as well.

At the beginning of the game, you'll assemble a party of three members out of six possible characters - a choice that changes the course of the game's narrative.

Also in the package is the original Game Boy version of Final Fantasy Adventure (the first Seiken Densetsu game) and the Super Nintendo version of Secret of Mana (the second). Collection of Mana ushers players into the enchanting world of the Mana series with the first three titles, FINAL FANTASY® Adventure, Secret of Mana® and the first-time availability in the West of the highly requested classic release of the original Trials of Mana.
