New Kia SUV Shows Off Its Interior

When launched it is expected to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) and will face stiff competition from the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross.

These sketches preview Kia's next-generation interior design, showcasing more technology, cool mood lighting, a larger media screen than before, and an overall more youthful style than the current theme.

In an earlier news, Kia announced that the SUV would get heated/ventilated front seats, rear parking system, keyless start-and-go, and a feature called Sound Mood Lighting that can adjust the ambient lighting in accordance with the music genre now playing. The interior makes a bold Millenial design statement and focused on maximum ease and simplicity of use.

It is likely to come with features such as auto climate control, paddle shifters, electric park brake, head-up display, leather upholstery with ventilated front seats and start-stop button as per the sketches.

The latest images have been released after the Korean firm earlier showed off sketches of the vehicle's exterior (see below). "Our newest model will offer greater pleasure and satisfaction to our customers, with a premium-quality interior that benefits from sophisticated design details", said Byung Chul Juh, head of styling. The exterior of the new Kia SUV offers a sharp and aggressive looking design, with a muscular look. Codenamed SP2i, the SUV is likely to be named Trailster or Tusker and will be unveiled on 20 June. The car's trial production commenced on 29th January 2019 and will be manufactured at Kia's state-of-the-art facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh as stated by the company.

The 2020 Kia compact SUV also maintains a focus on technology.

The new Kia SUV will be the first product from the brand in the Indian market.
